“It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known…[As] it is written: “Those who were not told about him will see, and those who have not heard will understand.”
“The story of God from the Garden of Eden to his telling Abraham to go, from his Spirit’s work at Pentecost until today is to show his great love to every man, woman and child throughout the earth. This has been our story at Vineyard Columbus for over 25 years. We have an extraordinary invitation from God to increasingly make our ambition like that of Paul’s; namely, to make him known wherever in the world he has not been relevantly communicated by word and action.”
Bill Christensen, Pastor of International Ministries
On the day of Pentecost, the Apostle Peter declared that “the promise is for you, and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call” (Acts 2:39). For more than a quarter of a century, Vineyard Columbus has been a church that exists not only for us and our children, but for those who are “far off.” We have sent workers around the world to proclaim the gospel and to plant churches, and we are going to continue to invest in God’s mission around the world. Our current focus is on the Muslim world, the post-Christian secular world, and remote regions not currently reached by the gospel. Our campaign goal to launch new international missionaries is $.6 million.
