Lives transformed by God through Vineyard Columbus.

We love Vineyard Columbus because it is a place where you know you are making a difference in the community through action in the congregation. My husband and I volunteered as table leaders for Alpha and personally saw lives change through discussions about faith. We’ve also been a part of outreach in a nursing home.
I am so honored to be a part of Vineyard Columbus East Campus. We can see how our church is used by God to be the hands and feet of Jesus through so many ministries. Since I have been to Vineyard, I have truly learned what freedom in Christ means and I have a much deeper understanding of His love for me!

I was attracted to Vineyard Columbus because of The Mission and how it’s lived out. Vineyard Columbus spends its resources growing and helping others, as Christ did. Vineyard puts action behind words with their work in the community center, in their food pantries, and in the world beyond. I’m excited about the opportunity to continue this mission by developing disciples in working with children’s ministry, and creating more opportunities for Vineyard to show the love of Christ in our city and in our world!

Several years ago I was searching for a church. Just someplace with good music where I could attend a couple Sundays a month. But then I found Vineyard Columbus Sawmill. I quickly discovered depth of relationship—with Jesus and with community. This was life changing. I started attending regularly and felt like part of the Sawmill family from day one. It didn’t take long before I joined a small group and got involved in hospitality. After a while, I started leading a small group, and eventually went through Vineyard Institute. I am surrounded by a community who encourages me to step out in faith. My faith has grown beyond anything I could have imagined. I am so thankful for what God is doing in my life through all of this!

I’ve been attending Vineyard Columbus since January 2014. At that time in my life I was in a season of STRUGGLE. I grew up going to church but I never had a personal relationship with God. I knew of Him, but I didn’t personally know Him or His love for me. I’m a single mom with two kids and I was convinced that my struggles were God’s punishment for my sin. I felt forgotten, overlooked, and defeated! I had a friend that attended Vineyard, but she had recently relocated out of town. She had been telling me I should give Vineyard a try. She said if not the regular church service, I should at least check out the website and see what classes/series they had to offer and that’s where I found Soul Provider—a ministry for single moms! Going to church as a single mom left me feeling judged or “less than.”
I was insecure. When I saw Vineyard had a ministry JUST for single moms I immediately felt accepted!
On that second Friday of January 2014, my kids and I went to Soul Provider and we’ve been attending Vineyard Columbus ever since! We immediately got plugged into a small group (which I now co-lead), began serving, and taking classes/studies. One of the series I attended early on, called “Just me and The Kids,” Ron Hitchcock said, “just because your household consist of one parent and child(ren) doesn’t mean you’re not a family”! That stuck with me! My kids and I ARE a family! We matter! God sees us! I’ve grown SO much in my faith! I’m so thankful God led us to Vineyard Columbus. I love what God is doing in and through this church and I’m so thankful I get to be a part of it.

When my husband and I got married we had about $60,000 in debt and we knew that we wanted to pay off all of our student loans before we had kids. We caught wind that Vineyard Columbus hosts Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace classes and we signed up! The class was so healing and encouraging because we were able to meet and journey with other couples that wanted financial peace too. It took commitment, discipline and honesty which was what my husband and I needed to aggressively pay off the rest of our loans.
A year and a half later, I was picking my husband up at work and he came out to my car and told me I needed to come inside really quick. I went in and he asked me to help him click ‘submit’ and we made the last payment on our loan together! In total we paid off about $90,000 in student debt! The Lord gave us so much grace and perseverance in the process and we couldn’t have done it without Him and the wonderful community at Vineyard. Thank you so much Vineyard Columbus!
